it's official....

keith and i are now the owners of 400 Forest Trails Drive...after signing 100 plus documents, we walked away yesterday with the keys to our new home. and once again just like that we are in debt. boo! the glory of all it suddenly sunk in...i keep reminding myself, investment, investment.

we hope to be in there by the 3rd week of july...this move will be much slower because we can take our time and move a little at a time. not like our massive moves of before.

i will be in limbo for a little bit writing here and there, but bear with me...soon enough i will be back on here posting about our daily chaos :-)

the birthday chair

ally's chair from the Land of Nod arrived this past week and we finally were able to put it together last night. even though it is one of her birthday gifts, we couldn't keep her out of it.

she even decided to share it with Ba-LOO, the bear!

song has been sung...

for those who have been following my recent updates on my interviews...

i found out yesterday afternoon that i did not get the position at NA. it has been bittersweet since the news...the job was perfect in many ways but also i would have had to probably put off having another baby again b/c the job was very physical and demanding, much more than any position i have ever held.

the man upstairs surely works in mysterious ways, lucky for me he didn't put me in a position to have to make that choice. it was also comforting to know that the most sought after position in PA was in fact a close call - the principal said that the committee really pondered over it for awhile b/c myself and the candidate chosen were so qualified, but she has put in her time in PA so they made a loyal choice.

i still hope to have more interviews, but if not, what's the worst that can happen? i might have to go back to slippery rock for another year? no problem! i loved my position there!

Idlewild Park

after an exhausting, yet fun day at the Park, i walked away with one (yes, only one) picture of ally. mom of the year here- not!

she was way too impatient while she was supposed to be waiting in line for her turn, so i had to hold her and wipe away her frustrated tears while we took our turn. if she had her way, she would have jumped on the rides while they were still moving!

needless to say, since keith was at work and i was flying solo, my friends each had to tackle their own issues with their own kids, i couldn't manage holding ally, her blankie and my camera as she fussed and wiggled. luckily this picture was taken early on, at least we have one concrete memory for her. i think janice snapped a few here and there so we may have more later on...so for now this is it. i have no idea who the boy is that is riding with her, but lucky for him he got the screaming 2year old to ride with.

all and all, the weather was great, all the kids (a total 8 of them) seemed to have fun. but the best part of all was that we didn't lose any of them amongst the chaos!

graduations, birthdays and a quick weekend trip

this month has been jammed packed with graduations, birthdays, weddings and father's day. especially over this past weekend.

dad finally had his graduation ceremony for his business administration degree - not too shabby for a 60 year old man. you stuck it out when others couldn't hack it and we are very proud of what you showed us you were made of.

one my best friends from high school first born turned 16 years old this past week. it really made me re-visit old the time we made blair a part of our entorauge while we fumbled our way through college. he has turned into a sweet, kind-hearted, well-mannered young man. it has been a pleasure being apart of you life now and i hope always.

congrats to cindy and cliff for their recent vows. i wish you, cliff and colby all the best of luck and i hope we can see each other before you take off to england!

it has been a crazy weekend, and being able to visit with my family and friends, however short it was, was really great too. mike and rhonda's new baby bannor is adorable and i finally got to meet joey's wife ruth. a quick trip to the park with janice, jen and tracey was also nice, but once again way too short.

now, i am preparing for a busy, busy week! it is off to idelwild park tomorrow...rides, water slides and tons of fun! i hope ally loves storybook forest as much as i did when i was little girl :)

grey and gloomy

is it really june? i am telling you this weather is depressing!

it smells like fall outside and if the trees and grass weren't so green, i could easily mistake it for an early november day.

it is 55 degrees here in pa and overcast in the middle of june-go figure!

i can't believe last week we were hitting the pool and cranking up the AC!

where did summer disappear to?
