We are in, but currently surrounded by boxes upon boxes- ugh!
Keith set up the computer last night but it is definitely not completed. As of right now, I am sitting on a large tupperware container containing maternity clothes as a chair...I know, I know, you are jealous.
Thanks for all the support and kind words of encouragement during the move from all my faithful blogger friends, I hope to be back on track soon.
I also miss reading all your blogs...thankfully I can always catch up when I have a chance. Hope all is well with everyone!

Last post for a few days...
We are dismantling the place as of 4pm today...and I am not sure when I can promise my return to the computer to write freely. In the meantime, say a little prayer that it all goes over smoothly for the Ruiz's because by the time I can return to catch up with everyone, I will most likely have some creative things to report.
After posting about a creative header idea I got a great suggestion from one of my friends, simple but catchy. What do you think of the new page? A little touch of shabby chic!

The weather is great, wish you were here.
Mother Nature has been blessing us with some absolutlely beautiful weather here in western PA these last few days.
It's about 70 degrees, no humidiity, clear skies and a light breeze makes the curtains sway back and forth. You would think it was early spring not the end of July.
I love the smell of the fresh air and the fact that I can give the AC a break! How is it in your neck of the woods?
I have been playing around with my page a bit, so bear with me if you see it change daily...I am still looking for the right header for keeps. I wake up each morning with a new idea, but I can't seem to find one that sticks. I am taking suggestions, so if you have a creative idea that will help me loop our last name into it please feel free to post! The Ruiz's is commonplace and the last idea for the Trio was just me playing around with titles, I am up for ideas.

s - m - o - o - t - h
today, has been rather smooth.
no temper tantrums thus far, my workout was fabulous, the dogs are content, i purchased annie's baby shower gifts, cindy's wedding gift and the boxes are getting packed one by one. let's hope that part II of today goes just as well. which will consist of dinner and more packing.
the carpet is slated to be installed tomorrow in the new house so we can finally start to move boxes into the rooms and carry on with the moving chaos.
but for now, i am going to take a moment and exhale.

a tantrum over shoes who knew?
so, allyson had a temper tantrum over shoes.
yes, shoes.
how does a 2 year old know just the right buttons to push 10 minutes before you need to be somewhere? it is like clock-work. over shoes. shoes.
i didn't realize that little miss diva, herself, cared which shoes i put on her feet until today. i found out quickly there is a difference between the pink flip-flops and the red ones...i'm talking full-fledged tantrum. and then a shoe flying at my shin. good thing i am athletic and my reflexes kicked in, that sucker would have made a dent from the force behind little miss sassy's chuck if i had moved a split second slower.
it ended in a swift pop to the old tail area and of course me feeling bad all morning.
all so i could make it to the gym to relieve stress but somehow i managed to creat more for myself. everything i have ever read about not losing your cool in all my toddler textbooks went straight out the window at that single moment and i can now be welcomed to the club or should i say sisterhood (as my friend stacey refers to it).
someone please wake me when this phase of parenting is behind me and i can rationally speak with her, like in 16 years or so.

2 down upteen to go
we (meaning, my mom, dad and sister too) were able to finish off the kitchen today in our new home.
it was an all day affair of painting, cleaning and putting the place back in order. other than re-doing the floor the kitchen is finished for now. eventually i will have hardwood floors laid in the kitchen and foyer, but for now the old retro-flooring will have to do as well as the cabinets and counertops. the new hardware really make a difference.
allsyon's room is freshly painted, coupled with a new light fixture and swithplates as well as new plantation blinds and a closet makeover.
so like i said, 2 down and upteen things left to do. where is the extreme makeover crew when you need them?

mamma mia
am i corny for wanting to see this movie? be honest.
the actors and actresses are legendary and the music is so fun!
who didn't dance in front of the mirror, with a hairbrush in hand singing along with abba to dancing queen at least once in their childhood? or in college under the influence of cheap beer from a keg?
it may be gone by the time i get around to seeing it, so if anyone sees it before me, give me the 411!
you can dance, you can fly, having the time of your life...see that girl, watch that girl, she is the dancing queen - woo, woooo!
